Abstract:
The present invention comprises: an optical fiber (1) disposed in a pipe (P) having a sewage flow path through which sewage (W) flows, the optical fiber (1) being disposed so as to extend axially in a portion of the sewage flow path positioned above a preset normal water level; and a photodetector (2) that operates according to a timed main scheme, the photodetector (2) having a light transmitter (21) that transmits pulse light within the optical fiber (1) and a light detector (22) that detects scattered light generated within the optical fiber (1) due to a change in the environment outside the optical fiber (1).
