Abstract:
Provided are a sewing data production device, a method for controlling the sewing data production device, and a storage medium, with which it is possible to produce sewing data for easily sewing a long object to be sewn in one direction. A sewing device 1 performs sewing while moving a holding frame 85 in a Y direction, and performs a clamping change by gripping and releasing of the holding frame 85, whereby it is possible to sew the long object to be sewn in the Y direction. The sewing data production device produces sewing data for the sewing device 1. The sewing data production device divides a sewing pattern at the clamping change position of the holding frame 85, and, as appropriate, sets a frame grip code for gripping the holding frame 85, a frame release code for releasing the holding frame 85, and a feed action for forwarding the holding frame 85 in the Y direction, whereby it is possible to produce sewing data with which it is possible to automatically sew the long object to be sewn in the Y direction.
