Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a sewing machine and sewing machine program with which the driving of a threading mechanism can be prohibited for sewing needles that are not suitable for the threading mechanism. [Solution] A sewing machine, which is provided with a needle bar (31) on which a sewing needle can be mounted and a threading mechanism (126) capable of threading the upper thread in the eye of a sewing needle mounted on the needle bar (31), has a setting means for setting whether or not to prohibit the driving of the threading mechanism (126). The sewing machine is provided with a drive-switching means for prohibiting driving of the threading mechanism (126) when driving of the threading mechanism (126) is prohibited by the setting means (S13: YES) and allows (S14) driving of the threading mechanism when driving of the threading mechanism is not prohibited by the setting means (S13: NO). The sewing machine can switch between prohibiting and allowing the driving of the threading mechanism (126) according to the setting of the setting means.
