Abstract:
A cord guide body 20 is attached at the bottom end of a rising and falling member (rising and falling rod 12), and the rising and falling member is moved up and down synchronously with a sewing operation, whereby a cord material C is guided to a needle location position via the cord guide body 20, and the cord material is sewed to a material to be sewed. A cord cutting device 40 has a cutter unit 50, the cord cutting device 40 being disposed in a prescribed withdrawal position during the sewing operation and being moved to a position for cutting the cord material after the sewing of the cord material is completed. A height adjustment device is provided for variably adjusting the height of the cutter unit 50 when cutting the cord material. The height adjustment device lowers the rising and falling member to a height set in accordance with the height of the sewn cord material, and presses the cutter unit 50 downward using the cord guide body 20 at the bottom end of the rising and falling member, whereby the height of the cutter unit 50 is adjusted. It is thereby possible to automatically cut the cord material at an arbitrary height in accordance with the height of the sewn cord material.
