Abstract:
Provided is a sewing machine that can prevent, when sewing, thread that is fed from a thread spool from becoming entangled with a first guide part. A thread spool mounting part (7) is provided with a partition member (120). The partition member (120) is disposed between a spool thread (13) which is mounted on a spool pin (100) and a thread tension regulator (45) used when winding the thread. When sewing, thread (15) fed from the thread spool (13) passes through a thread guard part (43) and is supplied, as a needle thread, to a sewing needle (52) via a second guide passage (80). If the thread (15) is fed with great force from the spool thread (13) and becomes loose, the partition member (120) blocks the thread (15) from going toward the thread tension regulator (45), and suppresses tangling of the thread. The thread (15) does not become entangled with the thread tension regulator (45).
