Abstract:
Provided is a sewing machine that makes it possible to notify a user of the position of a mark on an article to be sewn recognized by the sewing machine. The sewing machine (1) is provided with a bed section (2), a conveyance unit (21), a sewing unit (30), a storage unit (84), an imaging unit (57), a projector (58), and a control unit (80). The imaging unit (57) is configured to capture an image of an imaging range including the area below a needle bar (51). The projector (58) is configured to project a projected image toward the bed section (2). The control unit (80) causes the imaging unit (57) to capture (S6) an image at a predetermined timing during a conveyance period in which the conveyance unit (21) is being driven, uses information regarding a mark (68) that is stored in a storage unit (84) to identify (S7) the mark (68) within the captured image obtained by imaging, identifies (S17) a projection position on the article to be sewn corresponding to the identified mark (68) when the mark (68) is identified ("YES" in S8), and causes the projector (58) to project (S22) a projected image indicating the identified projection position so as to follow movement of the mark (68) on the article to be sewn.
