Title:
SGRF GENETICALLY MODIFIED NONHUMAN ANIMAL
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2003/034818
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A chimeric mouse is obtained by substituting the exon part of SGRF gene by an appropriate drug marker gene to thereby construct a targeting vector and then transferring this vector into a mouse ES cell line. This chimeric mouse is mated with a C57BL&sol 6J mouse to give mice comprising cells wherein one of the SGRF gene pair has been inactivated. Further, these mice are mated together to thereby successfully construct a mouse wherein both genes of the SGRF gene pair have been inactivated. This genetically modified animal is usable in, for example, presuming side effects of an SGRF antagonist, etc.
