A shading device (1) is provided with: a screen (2); a shaft (1a) which has a part (8e) to be locked, and to which one end (2b) of the screen (2) is fastened; an impelling mechanism (1b) which impels the shaft part (1a) in a winding direction (DR1); a lock member (1c) which, in a locked position (P1), engages the part (8e) to be locked; and a housing (1d) into which an end (8f) of the shaft part (1a) is inserted, said housing (1d) having a slide guidance part (10d) for causing the lock member (1c) to slide. The slide guidance part (10d) is capable of guiding the lock member (1c) in a direction (D1) passing through the locked position (P1) and an unlocked position (P2). Furthermore, the slide guidance part (10d) is provided with locked-position engagement parts (1f) for stopping the sliding of the lock member (1c) at the locked position (P1). The lock member (1c) is provided with: slide engagement parts (1e) which engage with the locked-position engagement parts (1f) at the locked position (P1); and an operation part (9b) which is bent to release the slide engagement parts (1e).
