Abstract:
First, a torque is input to a shaft 1 and a twist angle of the shaft 1 at this time is measured, to acquire a torque-twist angle graph for the shaft 1. Next, a plurality of inspection straight lines having mutually different gradients that are less than a gradient of a straight-line portion provided in an elastic region of the torque-twist angle graph are set. Next, each inspection straight line is translated to a position tangential to the torque-twist angle graph, to acquire a point of contact between each inspection straight line and the torque-twist angle graph. It is then determined whether an excessive torque has been input to the shaft 1, by means of the position of the point of contact between the torque-twist angle graph and the plurality of inspection straight lines.
