Abstract:
The invention relates to a shaft kiln (2) for manufacturing clinker, comprising: an enclosure (4) including, from top to bottom, a feed section (14), a carbonate removal section (16), a clinkering section (20) and a first section for collecting the clinker (22) each extending along a vertical axis; first extraction means (36) arranged to extract the clinker from the first collection section (22); means for generating and conveying a first gas having a temperature of 950 °C to 1250 °C; at least one flue (26) for injecting the first gas; means for generating and conveying an oxidising gas having a temperature of 1250 °C to 1450 °C; at least one flue (28) for injecting the second gas; and first means for suctioning the first and second gases from the feed section (14).
