Abstract:
[Problem] To suppress localized concentration of stress (stress concentration) generated in a flange section, formed by cold forging, by the input of a load into the flange section, in a shaft member for a wheel rolling bearing device. [Solution] A flange section (21) formed by cold forging comprises an outward flange section (21d) and an inward flange section (21a). The inward flange section (21a) viewed in a shaft line direction cross-section is formed thicker than the outward flange section (21d) and the flange surface shape on the side where a bolt seat surface section is arranged is formed by having a vertical surface shape of a constant length in the radial direction at a radial direction base section position and by having an inclined surface (21c) shape that gradually becomes thinner from the vertical surface shape position towards the radially outward direction. A first flange surface joining position (21f) for the inclined surface (21c) and the outward flange section (21d) is formed as a convex curve section that surrounds a bolt hole (24) for a hub bolt (27), when viewed in the planar view from a shaft section (10) side.
