[Problem] To provide: a shake correction function-embedded optical unit capable of easily assembling a movable body to a fixed body; and a method for manufacturing a shake correction function-embedded optical unit. [Solution] This shake correction function-embedded optical unit (1) comprises a movable body (2) and a fixed body (5). The fixed body (5) has a notch part (57). In a state in which the movable body (2) is rotated by a predetermined angle in a circumferential direction (S) with respect to an optical axis (P) of a camera module (3), when the fixed body (5) is viewed from the optical axis direction of the camera module (3), the notch part (57) is located in at least one place among a place in which the notch part (57) overlaps a convex surface (47) or a concave surface (48) of the movable body (2) and a place in which a distance (D2) from the optical axis P to a radial outer tip section (57a) of the notch part (57) is greater than or equal to distances (D1)(D3) from the optical axis (P) to radial outer tip sections (47a)(48b) of the convex surface (47) and the concave surface (48) of the movable body (2).
