Abstract:
A shank installation structure providing as less axial loose movement as possible and a simple construction, a cutter used for the shank installation structure, and a cutter used for the shank installation structure and not coming off even if an impact rotating torque acts thereon, wherein the shank installation structure is formed so that, in the condition limited by a limiting mechanism limiting the inserting depth of a shank (7) relative to an arbor (A), the position of an engaged part (7B) is deviated axially to the opening side of a shank installation hole relative to a locking member (5) so as to bring the locking member (5) into contact with the engaged part (7B) on the base side of the shank installation hole, and also a cutter (B) is formed so that an outer peripheral part (7C) of a recessed portion forming the engaged part (7B) is recessed from the outer peripheral surface of the shank (7).
