To provide a perfect brazing strength between a shape memory/superelastic member (temple, bridge, nose pad of glasses) and a metal (hinge piece, rim) and prevent reaction between the shape memory/superelastic member and a metal base layer laminated on the outer surface of the member. A four-layer structure, formed by laminating on a Ni-Ti based shape memory/superelastic material an insulating layer (Nb), a brazing metal base layer (Ti, Au, Ni, Pt, Pd) and a die protection layer (Ni-Cu), is press formed and shape memory-processed to form a temple, the die protection layer is then removed to expose the metal base layer, and the metal base layer and hinge piece are brazed together by a brazing filler metal. The insulating layer prevents reaction between the shape memory/superelastic material and the metal base layer and the die protection layer prevents seizure between the four-layer structure and the inside of the die. In addition, the nickel exposed surface of the shape memory/superelastic member is covered with a titanium pipe or sheath to prevent a direct contact of nickel with a human body. The subject product applies to an orthodontic wire, implant, medical catheter, stent and female underwears.
