Abstract:
A three−dimensionally shaped corrugated fiberboard having a bending part (5) or a curved surface part (16) provided, at least partially, in a paper corrugated fiberboard (1) formed by a core (2) of continuous waveform having a constant height, and a pair of liners (4) bonded to the top part (3) of the waveform through adhesive, wherein the bending part (5) or the curved surface part (16) is deformed plastically while sustaining the waveform of the core (2) substantially uniformly. A method for producing a three−dimensionally shaped corrugated fiberboard comprising a step for humidifying the liners (4) of the paper corrugated fiberboard, a step for imparting a three−dimensional shape to the paper corrugated fiberboard (1) by inserting it between a pair of dies (7) including a cavity side die (8) provided with a three−dimensional impression part (10) having the bending part (5) or the curved surface part (16) and a core side die (9) corresponding to the impression part (10) and then pressing the paper corrugated fiberboard (1), and a step for heating the paper corrugated fiberboard (1) and dehumidifying the liners (4) until the water content drops down to 3% or below.
