Abstract:
The present invention relates to a shear link having replaceable cover plates, the shear link comprising: first and second coupling plates coupled to a structure; a main frame having both ends fixed to the first and second coupling plates, respectively, the main frame having a hollow formed through the center portion thereof in the forward/backward direction; first and second cover plates positioned to abut the left and right side surfaces of the main frame, respectively, such that the hollow can be covered, the first and second cover plates having a plurality of through-holes formed therethrough in the forward/backward direction; and a coupling unit for separably coupling the main frame and the first and second cover plates to each other. The shear link having replaceable cover plates according to the present invention is advantageous in that, since the first and second cover plates are separably coupled to the main frame by the coupling unit, the first and second cover plates, deformed by external forces, can be easily separated from the main frame, thereby reducing the time and cost needed for the replacement work.
