Abstract:

The present invention relates to a sheath material for a secondary battery, the sheath material receiving an electrode assembly, and to a secondary battery comprising the same. More specifically, the present invention relates to a sheath material for a secondary battery and a secondary battery comprising the same, wherein the sheath material has a function of scavenging hydrogen fluoride (HF) generated during charge and discharge of the battery. In the sheath material for a secondary battery, a receiving portion corresponding to a shape of the electrode assembly is formed and a polymer sheet comprising an HF scavenger is added to an inside surface of the sheath material, wherein the polymer sheet is dissolved in conditions of pH 3 or lower.
