Abstract:
Provided is a sheet for an absorbent article, the sheet containing cellulose-based fibers in an amount exceeding 90 mass% and comprises a nonwoven fabric obtained by interlacing fibers, wherein: the nonwoven fabric has a plurality of first interlaced parts that are separated from each other and a plurality of second interlaced parts that are separated from each other; each of the first interlaced parts has a regular pattern formed with a plurality of regions having a high fiber density (hereinafter "high density regions") and a plurality of regions having a low fiber density (hereinafter "low density regions"); the regular pattern has substantially uniform low density regions that are arranged in a zigzag or grid-like configuration; the first interlaced parts and second interlaced parts are both configured to extend along the vertical or horizontal direction of the nonwoven fabric; the first interlaced parts and the second interlaced parts are arranged alternately; the combined area of the first interlaced parts accounts for at least 50% of the total area of the nonwoven fabric; and the nonwoven fabric has a basis weight exceeding 30 g/m2 and a nap quantity of at most 1.0 mg as measured by a specific test.
