Abstract:
Provided is a sheet and booklet feeder capable of feeding a sheet and a booklet one by one and having a range with in which the thickness of a conveyance object can be changed and which is wider than with the prior art. Also provided is a sorting system of shipment documents equipped with the sheet and booklet feeder. The sheet and booklet feeder (100) has a movable shaft (20) supported to be movable up and down by a fixed sleeve (11), wherein a main compression coil spring (25) for imparting a main resilient force to the movable shaft (20) in order to press an overlap feed regulation member (30) against a conveyor belt (63), and a sub-compression coil spring (26) for imparting a sub-resilient force in the opposite direction to the movable shaft (20) are provided between the movable shaft (20) and the fixed sleeve (11). The sheet and booklet feeder (100) is constituted such that an increment in resilient force of the main compression coil spring (25) is offset by an increment in resilient force of the sub-compression coil spring (26) by moving the position of a press washer (23B) downward through the screw operation of an upper-end adjustment bolt (23A).
