Description:
SHEET COMPRESS TOOL FOR LASER CUT MACHINES

Technical Field

The invention relates to cut heads of 2D CNC laser cut and roll laser cut machines.

The invention particularly relates to sheet compress tool providing block of sheet into cut head by means of fitting cut heads in laser cut machines, and thus preventing damage to cut head and providing fault-free cutting.

Present State of Art

Today particularly fine metal sheets are opened from plates or roll and then sheet metal cut is performed by 2D CNC laser cut machines.

In the prior art during sheet cutting part moves and is lifted up from one side or corner and this causes hitting of laser cut head by lifted part.

In the related art lift up of sheet part may cause serious damage to laser cut head in case of fast movement of laser cut head on a bridge. This causes extra cost for producer. In addition to cost, machine is stopped for repair of damaged cut head and thus loss in production is experienced.

In the related art in case lifted up sheet part damages laser cut head quality of current cutting is damaged and it results in plate and roll sheet becoming waste.

We encountered several embodiments related to said laser cut heads when we searched the literature. One of the application is entitled “Laser Cut machine Body Embodiment” numbered TR2016/19969. Abstract of invention falling in classification B23K 26/16 reads as “The invention is a body embodiment comprising two carrying bodies located in a facing status comprising an upper platform and a lower platform wherein pre-movement table for X axis groups are connected in laser cut machines characterized in comprising an absorbing channel provided on lower platform along length of said lower platform and an absorption system comprising a discharge tank provided at lower platform under said absorbing channel and a back body located in continuation of said carrying bodies.”

Another example for said embodiment is the utility model of application number TR2016/19044 entitled “Z-Axis movement at Laser Cut Machines”. Abstract of the invention with classification of B23K/37/02 reads as “A movement mechanism comprising an engine and a connected reducer, trolleys moved up and down on z-axis on guides by driving from said reducer wherein cut head is connected and a head connection block where trolleys are connected and characterized in comprising an upper roller and a lower roller connected to reducer, a belt located by tightening via said rollers and two holding plates located in facing status in head connection block, connected to head connection block by compressing between belt in a manner to move said head connection block according to rotation of said rollers in positive or negative w direction.”

There is no mechanism to protect cut head from sheet in the above applications. Therefore, the said applications can be given as example for above mentioned disadvantages.

In conclusion, developments have been made in laser cut heads in parallel to technology and, therefore, new embodiments eliminating the above disadvantages and offering solutions to existing systems are needed.

Purpose of the Invention

Differently from the embodiments used in the related art, the invention relates to sheet compress tool developed to solve said disadvantages and bringing some advantages and fitted onto laser cut heads.

Purpose of the invention is to prevent hitting of cut parts occurring during cutting, onto cut head and to prevent lifting up.

Another purpose of the invention is to prevent hitting of sheet to cut head and thus prevent damage to head. Thus extra cost will not be incurred and production loss will not be encountered.

A further purpose of the invention is to provide problem-free flow of compressing tool on the sheet by help of round ball on the compress ring forming lower block of compress tool.

The structural and characteristic features and all advantages of the invention will be understood better in the figures given below and the detailed description by reference to the figures. Therefore, the assessment should be made based on the figures and taking into account the detailed descriptions.

Detailed Description of the Invention

In this detailed description, the preferred embodiments of the sheet compress tool (1) to be fitted onto laser cut heads (B) being subject of the invention have been described in a manner not forming any restrictive effect and only for purpose of better understanding of the matter.

Structure and mounting principle;

Figure 1 shows laser cut head (B) where sheet compress tool (1) is used and laser cut machine (A) where laser cut head (B) runs. As shown in the figure laser cut head (B) is of a structure moving right and left in X+ and X- directions. Figure 2 shows detailed view of laser cut head (B) and shows mounted status of sheet compress tool (1) onto cut head (B) of the invention.

Said sheet compress tool (1) comprises sheet compress body (10), sliding members (20), housing spindle (30), flexing member (31), spring tightening part (32), housing plate (40), spindle limiter (50) and housing member (60). Figure 3 shows two-dimension view of sheet compress tool (1).

Sheet compress body (10) is the structure having all components of the invention and prevents hitting of sheets bended upward to laser cut head (B) after contacting sheet during cutting. Sheet compress body (10) is formed by combination of two separate bodies facing each. Lower part has sliding members (20) functioning as wheel. Sliding members (20) provides easy sliding of sheet compress body (10) during contacting sheet and thus prevents damage to sheet material. In addition, it does not cause any damage to cutting as it does not affect speed of laser cut head (B). Sheet compress body (10) is located at same level as nozzles to perform laser cutting.

Housing spindle (30) is provided in upper part of two separate bodies forming said sheet compress body (10). Housing spindle (30) is the component connecting sheet compress body (10) to laser cut head (B). Housing spindle (30) is inserted into housing member (60) fixed to laser cut head (B) and thus up-down movement inside this component is provided. Housing member (60) is a type of bearing helping locking of system to provide movement in a proper manner on the spindle. Figure 4 shows clear relation of housing spindle (30) and housing member (60). Up and down movement of housing spindle (30) in Y+ and Y- directions by connecting to upper parts of said housing spindles (30) is provided by flexing member (31). Spring or pneumatic system can be used as flexing member.

Said housing member (60) is fixed to housing plate (40). Housing plate (40) is fixed to cut head body (B1). Thus housing spindle (30) is connected to lased cut head (B).

Upper part of housing spindle (30) has spring tightening part (32). Spring tightening part (32) is the adjustment part required for providing laser cut head (B) parallel to system as nozzle level. It is inserted onto housing member (60).

Spindle limiter (50) falling onto housing spindle (30) and limiting upward movement of spindle is used. The housing spindle (50) is fixed to cut head body (B1). In addition to limiting, it prevents removal of housing spindle (30) from housing member (60).

Figure 2 shows laser cut head (B) where sheet compress tool (1) is mounted.

Said housing spindle (30), flexing members (31) and spindle limiter (50) are chrome coated and resistant against friction.

Operatinq principle;

Before completion of all preparations and starting cutting at laser cut machine (A), operator activates sheet compress tool (1) by means of a key provided on operator board and adjusts location in a manner leaving 1-2 mm to material to be cut and thus security during cutting is enhanced.

Sheet compress tool (1) mounted to laser cut head (B) in a manner to be of same level as nozzle applies compression onto sheet to be cut during cutting. This compression is made by means of sliding members (20) provided in lower part. Sheet compress body (10) prevents contact of cut sheet with laser cut head (B) by help of flexing members (31). Thus both cut sheet and laser cut head (B) are protected.
