Abstract:

A sheet conveyance device (1) disposed in a sheet-fed printing press (2) provided with a printing unit (11). The printing unit (11) comprises a pressure cylinder (13) for holding and conveying a sheet (4), and a printing device (14) for printing on the sheet (4) held by the pressure cylinder (13). The sheet conveyance device (1) is provided with a transfer cylinder (28) for transferring the sheet (4) to the pressure cylinder (13) of the printing unit (11), and a pressing cylinder (29) for pressing the sheet (4) held by the transfer cylinder (28) against the peripheral surface of the transfer cylinder (28). The pressing of the sheet (4) against the transfer cylinder (28) by the pressing cylinder (29) enables the sheet (4) to be sufficiently stretched.
