Abstract:
A sheet conveying apparatus comprises a loading part, a U-turn conveying path,
conveying rollers, and an endless belt. The loading part is loaded with a sheet
to be conveyed. The U-turn conveying path is arcuately formed of an inner surface
and an outer surface facing each other. A part of the peripheral surface of the
conveying roller forms the inner surface and is supported rotatably. The endless
belt runs along a plurality of rollers including press rollers and a tension roller,
touches the peripheral surfaces of the conveying rollers to form the outer surface,
and is driven by the conveying rollers. The press rollers press against the conveying
roller with the endless belt interposed therebetween. The tension roller adjusts
the tension of the endless belt to a predetermined level.
