Abstract:
The present invention improves the ability to convey a web, and reduces disorder in conveyance of a web. A sheet manufacturing apparatus has: a conveyance unit for conveying a web, the conveyance unit having a depositional surface on which a fiber-containing material is to be deposited as the web; and a first roller having a rotating shaft in a direction intersecting the conveyance direction of the web by the conveyance unit, the first roller facing the depositional surface of the conveyance unit and abutting the web to be conveyed by the conveyance unit, the radius of the first roller being greater than the thickness of the web prior to abutment with the first roller.
