Abstract:
The present invention controls suitably the distribution of basis weight of sheets when the sheets are manufactured. Provided is a sheet manufacturing device characterized by comprising: a drum unit 61 having a plurality of openings 61a; a web formation unit having an accumulation surface 72a on which a material containing fibers that have passed through the openings 61a is accumulated, the web formation unit causing the accumulation surface 72a to form a second web W2; a sheet formation unit performing processing on the second web W2 to form a sheet; and a control unit controlling, in the direction intersecting the direction of conveying the second web W2, the basis weight of the second web W2 accumulated on the accumulation surface 72a.
