This sheet material conveyance device comprises: a rail portion that is disposed in a loop shape; a plurality of runners; a linear motor that circularly moves the plurality of runners along the rail portion; and a pad that is attached to each of the plurality of runners. A sheet material is conveyed by moving circularly in at least one horizontal plane while being held on the pad.
