Abstract:
A leather−like sheet which has a base material of a three−dimensionally entangled non−woven fabric comprised of ultra−fine fibers having a fineness of 0.5 dtex or less the interior of which is filled with a porous polymeric elastomer and, formed mixedly on the surface of the base material, nap portions comprised of ultra−fine fibers and grain side portions comprised of a non−porous elastic polymer, characterized in that the non−porous elastic polymer is allowed to permeate into the interior of the base material to a depth of 5 to 20 μm from the surface thereof&semi and a method for producing the leather−like sheet. The leather−like sheet has ultra−fine fiber portions and grain side portions comprising a resin and ultra−fine fibers being mixedly present on the surface of a base material, and thus, exhibits a nubuck−like appearance having a natural leather tone and being elegant and stereoscopic, and further is excellent in the resistance to surface abrasion.
