Abstract:
A sheet-pile comprising a sheet formed or folded about a longitudinal axis so as to be of corrugated profile form having an overall width (w) exceeding 400 mm, said sheet-pile defining stiffening panel means and joint strip means, and characterised in that the profile for each said stiffening means and joint strip means in accordance with the following: 150 mm = or < d < 700 mm, t < 30 mm, 0 < f < 1000 mm, 0 < fi < 400 mm, 0 = or < fii < fi, 45 DEG < 1 < 125 DEG , 0 = or < f/d = or < 1.3, w/t > 40, 0.5 = or < n = or < 2.0, N = &< 2.0, where (d) is the depth of the profile, (t) is the thickness of the material forming the profile, (f, fi & fii) are the widhts of the flanges, (1) is the inclination of the webs of the profile, n is the number of profiles of a specific set of diensions within the sheet-pile width (w) and N is the total number of profiles within this sheet-pile width (w).
