Abstract:
Provided is a sheet press molding method by which molded articles with a small sheet thickness deviation can be obtained. The method is provided with a step for forming a molded article (30) comprising a concave-convex pattern portion (32) to which a predetermined concave-convex pattern (3) is transferred, by pressurizing a sheet-shaped material (20) that includes 60-95 vol% of filler and a resinous composition, using a pair of molds (40) at least one of which has the concave-convex pattern (3) comprising concave portions (3a, 3b, 3c) and convex portions (23a, 23b, 23c, 23d). As the pair of molds (40), a pair of molds in which a dummy pattern (24) is provided in the interior portion (14) is used, the dummy pattern comprising dummy convex portions (24a) which compensate for the difference between the total volume of the convex portions (23a, 23b, 23c, 23d) formed in the interior portion (14) and the total capacity of the concave portions (3a, 3b, 3c) disposed between the convex portions (23a, 23b, 23c, 23d) and side surfaces (14b) of the interior portion (14) and between the convex portions (23a, 23b, 23c, 23d).
