Abstract:
Provided is a sheet processing apparatus with which it is possible to minimize the amount of a sheet consumed. A sheet processing apparatus has: a supply section for supplying a sheet; an image acquisition section for acquiring an image of the sheet supplied from the supplysection ; a first assessment unit for assessing, on the basis of the image of the sheet as acquired by the image acquisition part, whether the sheet can be reused; and an inversion section for discharging the sheet without inverting a first surface and a second surface of the sheet when the first assessment unit assesses that the first surface of the sheet can be reused, and discharging the sheet after having inverted the first surface and the second surface of the sheet when the first assessment unit assesses that the second surface of the sheet can be reused.
