Abstract:
A sheet processing device for testing sheets such as paper currencies while transporting them and changing the path along which the sheets are transported according to the results of the test, particularly one which is incorporated in an automatic teller machine for transaction such as cash-drawing or cash-depositing. Stoppage troubles are reduced. If paper dust the amount of which is an extent not causing transportation failure is detected, the sheet is transported as it is and the sheets transported until the paper dust is removed are handled equivalently to, e.g., abnormal shape sheets.
