Provided is a sheet retainer which includes a first member (10) and a second member (20). The first member (10) has a first securing portion (11) formed at one end and an arc-shaped temporarily engaging portion (12) which is formed at the other end to be turned around toward the backside of the first member. Formed between the temporarily engaging portion (12) and the first securing portion (11) is a permanently engaging portion (13) which protrudes on the front side of the first member (10). The second member (20) has a second securing portion (21) formed at one end and an arc-shaped temporarily engaging portion (22) which is formed at the other end to be turned around toward the backside of the second member (20). Formed between the temporarily engaging portion (22) and the second securing portion (21) is a permanently engaging portion (23) which protrudes on the backside of the second member (20). In a permanent engagement state, the second member (20) having been pivoted provides sufficient tension to a sheet end (9), thereby preventing the sheet end (9) and a sheet end (8) from having wrinkles or the like.
