Abstract:
Provided are a suction-type sheet separating means for separating the first sheet from a bundle of sheets, the sheet separating means reliably separating the first sheet without suction-attracting a multiplicity of sheets even from a bundle of sheets containing different qualities of paper, and a suction-type book page turning device using the same.
The suction-type book page turning device comprises: a suction-attraction nozzle that suction-attracts a sheet; and a movable skirt that covers the suction-attraction nozzle. The book page turning device further comprises a suction-attraction nozzle distance control mechanism that, in a step of suction-attracting and separating a sheet, controls the position of the suction-attraction nozzle so that the suction-attraction nozzle and the surface of the sheet to be suction-attracted are disposed in proximity to each other with a certain distance provided therebetween.
