Abstract:
Provided are a sheet supply device and a sheet supply method capable of maintaining the precision of a separation operation of a sheet at a fixed level regardless of differences in the diameter dimensions of rolls. A second guide roller (4h) is disposed at a side opposite a standby-side roll (R2) and guides a sheet so that the sheet is guided from a pressing roller (4e) in a direction away from the standby-side roll (R2), based on a tangent line (C1) with respect to the outer circumferential surface of the standby-side roll (R2) at a pressing position (P1) of the standby-side roll (R2) in a state in which the pressing roller (4e) is pressed against the pressing position (P1). Furthermore, the second guide roller (4h) is fixed to a movement unit (4b) so as to be capable of contacting with and separating from the standby-side roll (R2) along with the pressing roller (4e).
