Abstract:
A sheet supply method includes: a sending step in which a sheet is supplied to a downstream side at a preset conveying speed; and a coupling step in which a sheet from a first roll is pushed against the outer peripheral surface of a second roll, and the sheet from the first roll is joined to a sheet of the second roll, after which the sheet from the first roll is cut at a position upstream of the joint. In the coupling step, the sending speed of the sheet from the first roll is lower than the preset conveying speed of the sending step, and differs from the supply speed of the sheet from a supply unit of the coupling step, and with a storage mechanism, excess or insufficiency of sheets occurring due to the speed difference between the sending speed and the supply speed is taken in and stored, or discarded.
