Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to correct a positional deviation of a sheet in the width direction in a transport path, the deviation occurring in a process from a sheet correction mechanism (4) to a discharge tray. Sheet shift units (41, 43, 44) move the sheet in the width direction. Transport position detection units (45, 46, 47) detect the position of the sheet in the width direction. Discharge position detection units (54, 8a) detects a discharge position of the sheet in the width direction, the sheet being discharged onto a discharge tray (33) in a sheet discharge unit (31). A control unit (8b) derives the amount of deviation between the discharge position and a discharge reference position on the basis of the detection result of the discharge position detection units (54, 8a). Further, the control unit (8b) corrects a transfer position of the sheet in a sheet transfer unit according to the amount of deviation.
