Disclosed are a very strong and light shell for a pressure-resistant container, a pressure-resistant container, and a probe. The shell is made of a ceramic material and is used for the pressure-resistant container which comprises a through-hole. A shell (1) of a pressure-resistant container (6) comprises a shell part (11) and a thick part (12). The shell part (11) is made of a ceramic material and has a convex surface. The thick part (12) is made of a ceramic material. The thick part (12) is formed contiguously with the shell part (11) and is thicker than the shell part (11). A through-hole (16) is formed through the thick part (12) in the thickness direction thereof.
