Abstract:
Shell type milling cutter and mounting method therof, wherein the area of tight contact between a shell type milling cutter (1) and a milling head arbor (3) is increased, thus enabling heavy cutting to be conducted at a higher cutting speed that is nearly equivalent to the performance of a solid type milling cutter (1), whereas mounting and replacement thereof can be performed very simply and easily. Said shell type milling cutter is mounted by drilling a tapered hole to form a setting hole (1a) of the milling cutter (1), engaging the groove of a tie bolt (4) with a projecting part (2c) of a bush (2), and securing a milling cutter (1) to a milling head arbor (3) by pressing said bush (2) thereinto.
