Abstract:
Provided is a high-strength shelter that is easy to construct and that reduces costs. The shelter 1 is provided with a main body 100 installed on a foundation 10 and a concrete layer 4 provided to the outer circumference of the main body 100. The main body 100 comprises: an iron enclosure 2 including a ceiling plate 22 and a cylindrical side plate 21; a door 5 provided to an above-ground section F of the enclosure 2; and a plurality of annular hollow tubes 3 that have a diameter set in a predetermined range with respect to the inner diameter of the enclosure 2 and that are provided to the outer surface of the side plate 21 in the circumferential direction. Also provided is a construction method for the shelter in which the main body 100 is produced at a factory, a hole H is formed, the foundation 10 is constructed at the bottom of the hole H, the main body 100 is installed on the foundation 10, a mold T is built around the side plate 21, concrete is cast and cured, the mold T is removed, and gaps are filled with earth or concrete.
