Abstract:
A shield connector that is connected to an end section of a shielded cable, said shielded cable having an electrical cable that includes at least one communication wire, and having a shield conductor that covers the aggregate circumference of the electrical cable, said shield connector comprising: an inner housing that holds a terminal, said terminal being connected to a conductor end section of the electrical cable; and a shield shell that houses the inner housing and the end section of the shielded cable and has a cable insertion section into which the end section of the shielded cable is inserted, wherein the inner housing has projections that protrude from side surfaces thereof; the shield shell has a base on which the inner housing is positioned and a cover that is fitted to the base; the base has a bottom plate that covers a bottom surface of the inner housing and extends toward the cable insertion section, a pair of base side plates that are formed contiguously toward the cable insertion section and stand up from both sides of the bottom plate so as to cover both side surfaces of the inner housing, and engaging holes that are formed in the base side plates and with which the projections of the inner housing engage; and the cover has a top plate that covers a top surface of the inner housing and extends toward the cable insertion section, and a pair of cover side plates that are formed contiguously toward the cable insertion section and stand up from both sides of the top plate so as to overlap the outer sides of the base side plates and cover the engaging holes.
