Abstract:
A shield installation structure for a helmet, which enables a shield to be quickly
and easily attached to and detached from the helmet and which facilitates assembly
of the helmet to reduce costs. The shield installation structure has rotation
support sections (5) arranged on both left and right sides of a helmet body (2),
and also has rotation sections (6) arranged on both left and right sides of the
shield (3). The shield (3) can be disengaged from the helmet body (2) by lifting
it up to an open position and pulling it out obliquely upward and forward from the
helmet body (2). Further, the disengaged shield (3) can be engaged with the helmet
body (2) by pushing in the shield obliquely downward and backward toward the helmet
body (2). The shield (3) has unlock operation sections (8), and the left and right
rotation sections (6) and rotation support sections (5) can be switched over
from the engaged state to the disengaged state only when the unlock operation
sections (8) are kept pushed.
