Abstract:
A shield member for covering the face of the wearer and a protective headwear to which the shield member is mounted, wherein, even through the peripheral portion of the shield member, the wearer can view an object with distortion of the image of the object minimized as much as possible. A shield member (5) mounted to a headwear body (3) which protects the head of the wearer and covering the face of the wearer, wherein the shield member (5) is formed in a curved plate-like shape using a transparent body or a half-transparent body and has a thickness gradually reduced from the center toward the periphery of the shield member.
