Abstract:
Provided is a shielding device which permits the operation of independently raising and lowering an intermediate rail and a bottom rail by means of a common operating cord. The shielding device is provided with a raising and lowering device which raises and lowers the intermediate rail (3) and the bottom rail (5), thereby permitting shielding members (2, 4) to be folded up and pulled out in the vertical direction, a loop-shaped operating cord (16) which is suspended from a head box (1), and a selective operation means (13) for permitting the intermediate rail (3) to be raised or lowered by operating the operating cord (16) in one direction and for permitting the bottom rail (5) to be raised or lowered by operating the operating cord (16) in the other direction. The selective operation means (13) is capable of pulling up the bottom rail (5) and the intermediate rail (3) in unison by causing the bottom rail (5) to push up on the intermediate rail (3).
