Abstract:
In this shift lever device, holding frames are provided at the front and rear of a lever, and block portions are provided on a plate to the front and rear of the lever. Even if the plate and the lever are installed in a vehicle in such a manner that the front and rear thereof are reversed, which of the holding frames is to hold a detent rod can be changed so that the block portion facing the detent rod restricts turning of the detent rod and thereby restricts turning of the lever. As a result, the plate and lever can be used across different arrangements.
