Abstract:
A rotational angle sensor (13) detects the rotational position of a motor (10), and outputs a motor rotational angle signal according to the rotational position of the motor (10). An output shaft sensor (16) detects the change of a magnetic field of a target (215) that is rotated integrally with an output shaft (15) to which rotation of the motor (10) is transmitted, and outputs an output shaft signal according to the rotational position of the output shaft (15). A shift range control unit (50) has a motor control unit (52), an angle calculation unit (51), and an abnormality monitoring unit (55). The angle calculation unit (51) calculates a first output shaft angle based on the output shaft signal and a second output shaft angle based on the output shaft signal and the motor rotational angle signal. The abnormality monitoring unit (55) monitors the abnormality of a shift range switching system (1) on the basis of the first output shaft angle. The shift range control unit (50) outputs the second output shaft angle to a transmission control unit (60) that controls the shift stages of an automatic transmission (5).
