Abstract:
A shift range switching device (40) that: controls the driving of a motor (10) and thereby switches shift range; and comprises a feedback control unit (60), a fixed-phase electrification control unit (70), and a switching control unit (75). The feedback control unit (60) performs feedback control that is based on the actual angle of the motor (10) and on a motor speed that is the rotational speed of the motor (10). The fixed-phase electrification control unit (70) performs fixed-phase electrification control that causes electrification at a fixed phase that is selected in accordance with the actual angle. The switching control unit (75) switches the control state of the motor (10). The switching control unit (75) sets the control state to feedback control when requested shift range has been switched. When an angle deviation that is the deviation between the actual angle and a target angle that is decided in accordance with the requested shift range is at or below an angle determination threshold, the switching control unit (75) switches the control state from feedback control to fixed-phase electrification control.
