This shift range control device (40) controls a shift range switch system (1) that switches a shift range by controlling the driving of an electric motor (10). An electric motor angle calculation unit (51) calculates the electric motor angle on the basis of an electric motor rotation angle signal. An output shaft signal acquisition unit (52) acquires an output shaft signal corresponding to a rotational position of an output shaft (15) from an output shaft sensor (16). A target angle setting unit (54) sets a target rotational angle on the basis of a target shift range and the output shaft signal. A drive control unit (55) controls the driving of the electric motor (10) so that the electric motor angle reaches the target rotational angle. When the target rotational angle, which was set on the basis of the output shaft signal, is a value of rotation farther along the rotational direction than a target limit value, which is set according to the shift ranges before and after the switch, the target angle setting unit (54) sets the target rotational angle at the target limit value.
