Abstract:
A target angle setting unit (53) setting a target rotation angle on the basis of a target shift range and an output shaft signal. A range determining unit (55) determines a shift range on the basis of the output shaft signal. An abnormality monitoring unit (56) monitors an abnormality in the output shaft signal. When an abnormality occurs in the output shaft signal, a learning unit (57) can learn a P-side reference position corresponding to a motor angle measured when an engagement member (26) comes into abutting contact with a first wall part. When an abnormality occurs in the output shaft signal and the shift range is on a P range at that time, the learning unit (57) learns the P-side reference position while bringing the engagement member (26) into abutting contact with the first wall part as a result of driving a motor (10). The range determining unit (55) determines the shift range on the basis of the P-side reference position and the motor angle. The target angle setting unit (53) sets the target rotation angle on the basis of the P-side reference position.
