Abstract:
This shift range control device (40) controls the drive of a motor (10) having a motor winding (11), thereby switching a shift range and is provided with a drive circuit (41) and a control unit (50). The drive circuit (41) has switching elements (411-416) provided corresponding to the respective phases of the motor winding (11). The control unit (50) controls the on/off operation of the switching elements (411-416), thereby driving the motor (10) and stopping the motor (10) at a target stop position in accordance with a target shift range. During stop control for stopping the motor (10) at the target stop position, the control unit (50) turns off all lower arm elements (414-416) and turns on a predetermined number of upper arm elements (411-413), thereby circulating current between the motor winding (11) and the drive circuit (41).
