Abstract:
A shift range control device (40) equipped with a plurality of control units (51, 52) provided in correspondence with motor winding (11, 12). The drive control unit (513, 523) uses a motor rotational angle signal to control energization of the motor winding of the system of the drive control unit when motor rotational angle sensors (131, 132, 133) are normal. When an abnormality occurs in a motor rotational angle sensor and it is determined that an output shaft (15) is rotating before a standby time has elapsed, the drive control unit (513, 523) does not energize the motor winding of the system of the drive control unit. When it is determined that the output shaft is not rotating even though the standby time has elapsed, the drive control unit controls energization of the motor winding of the system of the drive control unit without using a motor rotational angle signal.
