Abstract:
An angle calculating unit (51) calculates a motor angle on the basis of a signal from a motor rotation angle sensor (13) which detects the rotational position of a motor (10). A target angle setting unit (52) sets a target rotation angle corresponding to the position in which the motor (10) is to be stopped. A drive control unit (55) controls the drive of the motor (10) in such a way that the motor angle becomes the target rotation angle. A torque determining unit (56) determines an insufficient torque state resulting from a decrease in the torque from the motor (10) or an increase in a load torque. If the state is determined to be the insufficient torque state, the drive control unit (55) begins to drive a motor shaft (105), within a range of play, in a range switching direction from a backlash eliminating state, which is a state in which the motor shaft is biased toward the direction opposite to the range switching direction.
